Event || WRCO at 2023 WIMC - Industrial Robots Development Forum


The Industrial Robots Development Forum was successfully held on December 6 during 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference (WIMC) in Nanjing, China.


This forum focused on the key areas of industrial robotics research and application, carried out high-level academic exchanges and achievements, discussed the trend of technological innovation and industrial development orientation, and contributed to the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry and the innovative development of intelligent society.


During the forum, Mr. XI Ning, director of WRCO and professor of the University of Hong Kong, Mr. Jae-Hwan Kim, director of WRCO and Secretary General of Korea Association of Robot Industry, Mr. Chee-Fai Tan, director of WRCO and Chairman of ASEAN Federation of Smart Industry, and Mr. CHEN Li, representative of WRCO member units and COO of Unitree Robot, made keynote speeches respectively.

During the discussion session, Mr. ZHANG Yang, representative of WRCO member units and head of strategy and business development of ABB Robotics China, and Mr. CHU Jianhua, representative of WRCO member units and deputy general manager of Leaderdrive, discussed on the current situation and the future of the development of industrial robots.

At present, the deepening application and innovation of industrial robots will provide strong support for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the accelerated landing of new industries and the construction of modernized economic system.


In the future, WRCO will continue to serve as an open and shared international platform for robotics, actively promote more high-level international cooperation, and make positive contributions to the promotion of global industrial robotics innovation and industrial applications.
