On October 25, 2022, the 1st General Assembly of WRCO was successfully held online and offline in Beijing, China. The General Assembly drew up the constitution of WRCO and voted for the members of the 1st Board of Directors.

The 1st meeting of the 1st Board of Directors of WRCO was held immediately thereafter. At the meeting, the president, vice-president and secretary-general were elected. The President was elected by Ms. QIAO Hong, member of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and researcher at the Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA). The Vice President was elected by Ms. Yael Edan, Vice President of the Israeli Robotics Association (IROB). The Secretary-General was elected by Mr. WANG Huan.

Ms. QIAO Hong, the 1st President of WRCO, is an expert in robotics theory and application, and has long been engaged in research on robotics theory and application, mainly including human-inspired robot decision-making, perception, control and structural design.

Since the beginning of this century, robotics technology has been developing vigorously, utilizing a combination of sensors, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, new materials and other cutting-edge technologies, and has been hailed as the "pearl at the top of the crown of the manufacturing industry". The research and development, manufacturing and application of robots is an important symbol of scientific and technological innovation and high-end manufacturing level. In the future, WRCO will continue to promote academic exchanges and prosperity in the field of robotics, build a platform for global cooperation in the robotics industry, and provide attentive services to its members worldwide, contributing to the promotion of global scientific and technological innovation and industrial cooperation.
